For 85 years, Marywood has adapted and expanded services to respond to the needs of the young women and children it serves. The mission of Marywood is to provide shelter and support to children, while seeking to build nurturing families for a lifetime.

We continue to carry out our mission for children by:

	connecting pregnant and parenting women with resources
	and sheltering young, homeless mothers and their children
	creating permanency through adoption
	providing protection through foster homes

Marywood's programs are nationally accredited through the Council on Accreditation, a national organization that brings best practices to social service agencies.

Marywood is a member in good standing of the North American Council on Adoptable Children and the Texas Association of Family and Children’s Services, a partner in the Adoption Coalition of Texas, and licensed by the State of Texas.
